You should meet the STORYTELLER

Dear reader,

I am going to do my best to share with you who I am but at the same time, I don’t really want to.

I know that sounds incredibly stupid and stubborn even, but there’s a reason behind this, just hang on for a second.

The name given to me is Mitchell. It means “Who is like God?”

To simplify who I am I won’t share my whole life story, not here anyway. There will be many letters to come that will go into great detail about my life and the poo poo I’ve walked through up til this point.

I will share a couple of key things to start you off and I want you to read the letters to come to your own understanding of me.

I am the second oldest child of 11 kids. (One short from Cheaper by the Dozen)

I am a jack of all trades, I have a plethora of quirky talents and gifts that rarely make it to the surface. Varying from puppeteering to fantastic (yet humble) ping-pong skills.

My favorite color is green.

Whenever I play rock, paper, scissors I will always pick paper. Use that to your advantage if you ever play against me.

My most watched movie on VHS is Toy Story 2. My childhood involved watching that every day for about a year.

I am a huge fan of musicals when they are done right. Most are not in my opinion.

One of my greatest secrets is my age. I stopped telling people it openly back in high school. If you happen to know you are among the very few…

One thing I do want to stress more than anything is my pride. It’s huge, and I want to kill it more and more one day at a time. I don’t want to receive a lot of praise for anything I do. I want to direct the praise back to the only one who deserves it.

God.

If I forget to mention Him in any of my letters or speak of His character in any way I am doing a great disservice to Him. He is the only one worthy of the praise I can give, and I want to point back to Him and the gift He has given me with writing.

I am just here to use this gift for His ultimate glory.

I think I’ll stop there for now. There is much to discuss in further letters. If you want to write to me and ask any questions or even have an idea for a story you’d like to share with me I would be honored to hear from you. Click over to my ‘Write to me’ page and I’ll hear from you soon.

Your silly enigma of a dude,

-Mitchell
